Since it is the product, charge it for 4 hours after receiving it. You can then use it while charging.  If you put it on a charge before you finish the charge, you will use it longer.  If you don't use it, charge for at least 4 hours every 2-3 months. When you do not use, do not leave it on charging, the battery is warming up.
